The Gopher Hockey team goes into Madison this weekend as the hottest team in the Big Ten. However, a very improved Badger squad will look to cool them off as the two teams face off in round one of the annual Border Battle.
Minnesota comes into this weekend’s games against Wisconsin tied with Penn State for first place in the Big Ten. The Gophers got a big home sweep over Michigan last weekend, but will head into its second Big Ten road series of the season a bit shorthanded. Minnesota will be missing sophomore center Tommy Novak after he suffered what the Gophers are calling a “lower body injury” last Saturday against the Wolverines.
