Multiple reports early Tuesday afternoon are stating that Don Lucia will not return as the head coach for the Gophers hockey team for the 2018-19 season. If true, Lucia would have competed his 19th and final season as the Gophers head coach in February with a Big Ten First Round Playoff series loss to Penn State.
I have recieved confirmation that Don Lucia is meeting with the @GopherHockey team this afternoon and will not return as their coach after 19 seasons at the helm. He did not meet with them earlier today, as was reported.
