Minnesota Golden Gophers fire offensive coordinator Matt Limegrover and passing game coordinator Jim Zebrowski

Minnesota has fired offensive coordinator Matt Limegrover and passing game coordinator Jim Zebrowski after a 5-7 season, the school announced Sunday night.

Limegrover, who also served as the team's assistant head coach and offensive line coach, has called offensive plays for the Golden Gophers since 2011. He had worked alongside Minnesota head coach Tracy Claeys since 1999, as both were assistants under Jerry Kill at four different schools. Claeys took over as interim head coach when Kill retired for health reasons midseason and was named permanent head coach earlier this month.

The Gophers rank 97th in the FBS in scoring this season at 24 points per game.
