Minnesota Football: Zack Annexstad out indefinitely with foot injury

The Minnesota Golden Gophers announced earlier this morning that sophomore quarterback Zack Annexstad has been sidelined indefinitely after suffering an unspecified foot injury during fall camp.

No further details have been made public at this time, but head coach P.J. Fleck is expected to address the injury after practice today.

Annexstad was firmly in the mix for the starting spot at quarterback during fall camp, competing with redshirt sophomore Tanner Morgan. It seems likely now that Morgan will be the starter come Week 1.

Annexstad started the first seven games of last season as a true freshman walk-on.
