I have all of your favorite cliches: Athleticism! Speed! Swarms to the football! Plays from sideline to sideline! Will need to add weight and strength to compete at the next level! Fleck and co. are taking a flyer on an in-state linebacker with good athleticism. That seems to be the coaching staff’s M.O. in recruiting linebackers so far — raw athletes — with Thomas Rush and Mariano Sori-Marin as recent examples.
