With two games left in the regular season, redshirt sophomore wide receiver Melvin Holland, Jr. is now listed on the depth chart for the first time this season.
Now, there is no guarantee that he’ll even see the field on Saturday in the Gophers’ final home game of the season, but this is a development that cannot go ignored, considering the bizarre game of musical chairs we’ve seen at the wide receiver position this season (at least in terms of each week’s depth chart). Still no sign of fellow redshirt sophomore wideout Isaiah Gentry, as freshman Tyler Johnson occupies two back-up wide receiver roles.
