Former Minnesota Golden Gophers starting quarterback Demry Croft announced right after the season that he would be transferring from the U for next season. On Sunday he announced he new home. Croft announced on twitter that he will be transferring to Tennessee State University for the second semester.
Tennessee State is a FCS school in the Ohio Valley Conference located in Nashville. Since Croft is dropping down a level to FCS he will be eligible to immediately play in 2018. Croft will need to compete for playing time as the Tigers return two quarterbacks who started for them in 2017 former Florida Gators QB Treon Harris who will be a senior in 2018 and Michael Hughes who will be a junior.
