Just for fun, I decided to take a look back at the 2010 coaching search where Joel Maturi eventually settled on hiring Jerry Kill after Tim Brewster was dismissed during the 2010 season.
It was a 50 day search to land on Jerry Kill. But Mark Coyle does not have that kind of time to land his guy. Kill was hired on December 6th, giving him 2 full months to hire a staff and get the ball rolling on recruiting. Coyle and his new coach will have less than a month to do the same things.
