Sara Potomak had a goal and an assist to lead Minnesota to a second straight women's hockey national title with a 3-1 win over Boston College on Sunday.
Potomak scored 13 seconds into the game, and Minnesota added two more goals before BC scored its only goal of the game.
The win gave Minnesota (35-4-1) the repeat title and prevented Boston College from becoming the second team to complete an undefeated season with a championship. The Gophers did so in 2013.
Boston College (40-1-0) was seeking its first title. The Eagles notched their first win in the Frozen Four with a 3-2 win over Clarkson on Friday at Whittemore Center in Durham, New Hampshire.
