SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Those big changes that Richard Pitino talked about after losing back-to-back home games to South Dakota schools turned out to be not very impactful.
The third-year Gophers basketball coach talked about needing to look in the mirror and probably shake things up since nothing seemed to be working.
Pitino played all five of his freshmen in the first half, which included starting Dupree McBrayer.
But that wasn't the spark Minnesota needed, dropping its third straight game in a 62-60 loss to Oklahoma State at the Sanford Pentagon.
Nate Mason had 14 points and Jordan Murphy finished with 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Gophers (5-5), who have lost three consecutive nonconference games for the first time since 2009-10.
