In an emotional press conference today, Minnesota Golden Gopher head coach Jerry Kill announced he has decided to retire from coaching football due to health reasons.
Jerry Kill, 54 has epsilepsy and overcame kidney cancer in 2005. He has battled seizures for some time now and has had a couple episodes during games. He stated his doctor had advised him to step down for his long term health.
Coach Kill announced today that he is retiring effective immediately due to health reasons. Tracy Claeys has been named interim head coach.
