The Gophers and Fresno State played to a 7-0 score at halftime.
The story of the first half for Minnesota came on the third play of the game. Senior running back Rodney Smith caught a screen pass, took it 11 yards for a first down and injured his knee. The team’s best offensive player, out for the game and the rest of the season looks to be in question.
The Gopher defense was very good in the first half, holding Fresno State to just 101 yards of offense and 0 points.
And it was a Terell Smith interception that shortened the field for the offense and it was another Seth Green touchdown.
