Minnesota, who has really struggled defensively against Big Ten teams has held an explosive Purdue offense in check for the first two quarters of today’s game. The Gophers hold a 13-3 lead at the break.
Minnesota with three drives taking them inside the red zone in the first half. The first was a field goal after a couple missed opportunities. The second was a touchdown pass from Seth Green to Jake Paulson. And the third scoring drive stalled at the 9 and was Emmit Carpenter’s second FG of the game.
Purdue’s lone scoring opportunity came after a Tanner Morgan interception gave them ball in Minnesota territory to start.
