Lee Stecklein thought her days competing at the Roseville Skating Center were over, but she gets one more chance to play there this weekend.
The University of Minnesota junior defenseman and the rest of the Gophers (15-3) will play at the rink at 6:30 p.m. Friday, when they take on St. Cloud State (9-8-1) in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game.
The teams played in the event last year at Braemar Arena in Edina, but this season the location was moved to Roseville because of the suburb's connections to the two programs.
"We've had so many players come through the Roseville girls program and play here at the University, we wanted to get back there and honor some of those players," Gophers coach Brad Frost said.
