Gophers women's hockey: Minnesota beats Ohio State in first game back from break

Sarah Potomak and Sydney Baldwin had two assists each Saturday to help the No. 3 Gophers women to a 3-1 win over Ohio State at Ridder Arena.

Dani Cameranesi scored an empty-net goal in the final 90 seconds to seal the victory for Minnesota (16-3, 12-3 WCHA), which got 18 saves from goalie Amanda Leveille.

"Well, it was a great game," Gophers coach Brad Frost said. "I thought both teams competed really hard, and for us it was the first game back from break. I was proud of the way our kids competed and battled. We had a ton of chances: two crossbars, a post and many other grade-A chances.
