Dani Cameranesi scored three goals and Hannah Brandt became Minnesota's all-time assists leader as the No. 3-ranked Gophers women's hockey team beat Yale 6-3 Friday night in a nonconference game at Ridder Arena.
Brandt, a senior from Vadnais Heights and Hill-Murray High School, set the assists record with her second of the game, on a second-period goal by Sarah Potomak. Brandt broke Natalie Darwitz's record and now has 145 career assists, ranking fifth in NCAA history.
Brandt also scored a goal, and Potomak finished with one goal and two assists for the Gophers (12-1-0).
Yale (1-5-1) scored two of its three goals on the power play.
