The Gophers women's basketball team needed to regroup coming off the worst nonconference home loss under second-year coach Marlene Stollings.
It wasn't much of a bounce-back game offensively, but Minnesota found a way grind out a 57-47 victory over North Dakota on Wednesday at Williams Arena.
Rachel Banham had 11 of her game-high 17 points in the second half for the Gophers (7-3), who have one more game before opening the Big Ten season on New Year's Eve at Rutgers.
Stollings' team suffered a 72-53 loss to New Mexico at the Barn last week, the worst nonconference loss at home since a 22-point defeat to Virginia in 2012.
