The University of Minnesota women's volleyball team received the No. 2 overall seed in the NCAA tournament and will host the first two rounds Friday and Saturday at the Sports Pavilion.
The No. 4-ranked Gophers (26-4), who won their first Big Ten championship since 2002, will host Southwestern Athletic Conference champion Jackson State (15-21) in the first round at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
The other first-round matchup in Minneapolis will be Marquette (21-11) vs. Northern Iowa (19-14) at 4:30 p.m.
