Daly Santana had 23 kills to lead the No. 9-ranked Gophers volleyball team to a four-set victory over No. 3 Nebraska on Friday night in Lincoln, Neb., giving Minnesota sole possession of first place in the Big Ten Conference.
The Gophers (15-3 overall, 8-1 Big Ten) beat Nebraska in Lincoln for the first time since October 1980. Minnesota also matched its all-time mark for highest-ranked opponent defeated.
Hannah Tapp had 17 kills and hit .500 for the Gophers, Dalianliz Rosado had a career-high 27 digs and Samantha Seliger-Swenson had 54 assists.
