Seth Green entered a quarterback quandary when he left East Ridge for his senior season at Allen High School in Allen, Texas.
The powerhouse program in the Dallas suburbs had won three consecutive state titles (2012-14) and already had two quarterbacks competing for the starting job.
Green was the new kid on the block, with no experience in the team's no-huddle spread offense.
"It was a little learning curve for him," Allen coach Tom Westerberg said.
Green proved to be a quick study, becoming an all-district quarterback while sharing the job with junior Mitchell Jonke.
