The Gophers added offensive guard Garrison Wright to its 2016 recruiting class on Sunday.
Wright, a 6-foot-5, 310-pound product of Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kan., is the second guard who's given a verbal commitment and could see playing time as soon as next season. Guard Vincent Calhoun of Mississippi Community College in Summit, Miss., committed in September.
"I have decided to commit to the University of Minnesota! #Ski-U-Mah #GoGophers," Wright said in a message on Twitter.
Wright, who has not yet been given a star ranking, is the 18th player to give a verbal commitment to join the Gophers in 2016.
