Minnesota coach Richard Pitino has a 43-28 record over two seasons with the Gophers.
The Minnesota Gophers and Richard Pitino have agreed to terms on a new contract, the school announced on Tuesday.
Pitino, the coach of the Gophers men's basketball team, was one of three of the athletic department's head coaches to receive a new deal. The other two are women's basketball coach Marlene Stollings and softball coach Jessica Allister.
