Gophers' injuries could put more freshman on the field

Gophers coach Jerry Kill told WCCO-AM on Sunday morning that a number of players got hurt in Thursday's 23-17 loss to Texas Christian.

"It scares me this week," Kill said six days before Minnesota plays Saturday against Colorado State in Fort Collins.

On the radio, Kill did not elaborate on which players got hurt and said he would know and share more at Tuesday's news conference.

The Gophers played without tackle Josh Campion (concussion), and tackle Ben Lauer (knee) was limited after having preseason knee surgery. Tight ends Duke Anyanwu (knee), Lincoln Plsek (back) and wide receiver Isaiah Gentry (hamstring) were also out.
