Junior captain Justin Kloos scored 21 seconds into his 100th career game at Minnesota, and the Gophers never let up on offense in a 5-2 victory over Michigan State at Mariucci Arena on Friday night.
Minnesota took a shutout into the middle of the third period despite putting the Spartans on the power play five times, and the Gophers outshot Michigan State 30-19.
Junior forward Hudson Fasching scored twice for the Gophers, while sophomore forward Leon Bristedt tallied three assists.
