University of Minnesota football players were included in five incidents of sexual assault, sexual harassment and retaliation within the last year, according to emails.
The university's Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action (EOAA) received Title IX "concerns" that included: two instances of sexual assault committed by individual football players; two instances of sexual harassment involving a group of players; and one issue of retaliation involving a group of football players.
Kim Hewitt, director of the EOAA office, addressed these issues in a July 16 email to then-athletics director Norwood Teague and then-deputy athletics director Beth Goetz.
