In the classic basketball movie set at a rural Indiana high school, coach Norman Dale, played by actor Gene Hackman, decided to bench the one player he had left on his bench and finished a game with four players instead of five.
"You need one more," the referee told Dale.
"My team is on the floor," Dale replied.
