After introducing a no-huddle offense during spring practice, and using it again in fall camp, the Gophers will go back to huddling before snaps during the season.
"We experimented with it a little bit," Gophers coach Jerry Kill said. "We've been a huddle team; that's who we are."
Thursday's season-opening opponent, Texas Christian, uses a lot of no huddle, and Kill said his offense employing that tactic in preseason has helped his defense prepare to play the second-ranked team in the country.
"That's been strictly something to help our defense prepare for a very good TCU offense," offensive coordinator Matt Limegrover said.
