The numbers will tell two different stories about what type of season it was for Mitch Leidner.
Leidner's 218 completions were best for a junior quarterback at the University of Minnesota. His 2,478 yards nearly doubled his passing yards from last season. His 13 touchdowns through the air are the most since 2010.
But a dreadful last impression makes it tough to have a bright outlook for next season after his four-turnover performance in a 31-21 loss Saturday against Wisconsin at TCF Bank Stadium.
"Obviously not one of our best performances when you want to win against a team like Wisconsin," Gophers coach Tracy Claeys said.
