Gophers dump two football coaches: Matt Limegrover, Jim Zebrowski

Two coaches on the Gophers football staff will not be back next season. Offensive coordinator Matt Limegrover and quarterbacks coach Jim Zebrowski were fired Sunday.

New head coach Tracy Claeys made the announcement at a Sunday night team meeting.

The Gophers' offense ranked 103rd among 127 teams in the nation this season with an average of 357.1 yards per game. Minnesota's scoring offense was 104th with a 22.6-point average.

Minnesota (5-7, 2-6 Big Ten) struggled at times offensively this season, especially in a 10-7 win over Kent State and a 27-0 loss to Northwestern. But since Claeys took over, there were strong offensive performances
