After three straight games of dismal shooting and near-misses the Gophers turned it around in impressive fashion against the Central Michigan Chippewas, shooting the lights out of The Barn en route to a dominating 82-57 win. The victory moves the Gophers to 2-3 on the young season.
Minnesota got out to a quick 7-0 start and never really looked back, relying on impressive shooting both from the three-point line and from the field overall. For the game Minnesota shot an outstanding 14 of 30 from three point range, which was a stark turnaround from their shooting woes encountered in their three previous road games.
