Gophers women's volleyball coach Hugh McCutcheon said his players knew a chance to win the Big Ten title outright was on the line in Saturday's match at Indiana.
To accomplish that fete with a 3-1 win over the Hoosiers was a "big deal for our program," McCutcheon said after the victory.
The Gophers (26-4) won their first Big Ten title since 2002, but they set a program record for conference wins with an 18-2 record.
"I would say at this point it's fairly surreal," McCutcheon said. "When you're doing it, you're so focused on the next one, the next one, the next one that you don't really take any moments to look back.
