Gophers basketball: Kevin Dorsey remains sidelined

Gophers freshman Kevin Dorsey isn't cleared to play in Wednesday's Big Ten basketball opener at Ohio State after suffering a setback with his bruised heel in practice.

On his Monday radio show on KSTP-AM 1500, Minnesota coach Richard Pitino said Dorsey aggravated his left heel injury during practice.

"He probably went about 60 percent of the time," Pitino said. "So I don't know. We'll look at it again (Tuesday). But he was not full go. We thought he'd be, but he just aggravated it a little bit. It's been bothering him."

Dorsey, who averages 7.4 points, was backing up starting point guard Nate Mason before suffering the injury in the first half of a win over Chicago State.
