Gophers sophomore center Gaston Diedhiou is out with a minor foot injury, Minnesota coach Richard Pitino tweeted Saturday.
Pitino can't catch a break with injuries to his centers. Starter Bakary Konate is already out two more weeks with a stress fracture in his foot.
Diedhiou and Konate are the only eligible centers on the roster. The Gophers were also trying power forwards Joey King and Jordan Murphy at center in practice.
The season opener is Nov. 13 vs. Missouri-Kansas City. There will be an open scrimmage 4 p.m. Sunday at Williams Arena.
