Gophers basketball coach Richard Pitino officially announced Tuesday the promotion of assistant Nate Pomeday and addition of director of basketball Ryan Livingston.
Pomeday, the Gophers' director of basketball last season, replaced Dan McHale, who left to become the Eastern Kentucky coach last month.
The newest member of Pitino's staff, Livingston arrives after spending three years as the special assistant to Villanova coach Jay Wright.
Before that, Livingston was the head coach at Christian Academy (N.J.) and spent seven years on staff at Eastern University (Pa.), his alma mater.
