Three days before he helped Minnesota rescue a game that seemed like a lost cause, Ben Meyers was half a world away.
The Minnesota forward, along with his teammates Brock Faber and Matthew Knies, played for Team USA on Wednesday in Beijing, as the Americans bowed out of the Olympics with a quarterfinal loss to Slovakia.
On Saturday, Meyers and Faber were in the lineup for the Gophers, trailing Penn State 3-0 after one period at Pegula Ice Arena.
