The last thing anyone expected was for the University of Minnesota's most highly touted freshman Kevin Dorsey to grab attention off the court before he starred on the court this season.
Being suspended for the final exhibition game for an undisclosed academic situation was a rude awakening for the talented point guard.
Dorsey, who will play his second game with the Gophers (1-0) on Sunday against Louisiana Monroe (1-0) at Williams Arena, was allowed to play in the season-opening 76-58 win against Missouri-Kansas City on Friday.
"It was tough being on that bench," the 6-foot, 175-pound Maryland native said.
