A warrant is out for the arrest of former University of Minnesota basketball player Daquein McNeil after he failed to appear in court for his felony assault case from November.
McNeil, 21, didn't show up at his scheduled hearing at Hennepin County District Court on April 30, according to court documents.
The Baltimore native is currently without a lawyer after parting ways with his previous attorney, F. Clayton Tyler, in February.
Gophers coach Richard Pitino, who recruited McNeil to Minnesota in 2013, placed the sophomore guard on indefinite suspension following two felony charges for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend in November.
