After 8 years in the National Football League, former Minnesota Gophers great Eric Decker is retiring.
Decker was arguably the best wide receiver ever to play at the University of Minnesota. He finished his Gopher career as the all time leader in receptions and receiving yards and third all time in touchdowns. His play from 2006-2009 was unquestionably one of the few bright spots during the Brewster era at Minnesota.
Decker’s NFL career was solid. He spent 4 years with the Denver Broncos and was the AFC’s leading receiver for TD’s during the regular season with 13 in 2012.
