It’s been a busy week in college hockey, and one of the stories drowned out by the bigger news is Air Force’s well-hosted outdoor game.
With less than two months’ notice from the NHL, the Faceoff at Falcon Stadium sold over 7,000 tickets. More would surely have sold if weather forecasts didn’t call for snow during the game. But forecasts are fickle, and the crowd that made their way to the Academy on Monday found themselves enjoying a beautiful winter night in Colorado.
