Done in by a critical cold spell in the fourth quarter, the Wisconsin Herd’s first duel with the South Bay Lakers ended in a 126-115 defeat for the home side at Menominee Nation Arena.
Donning jerseys that resembled the Milwaukee Bucks’ cream city uniforms from last season, the Herd came out of the gate rolling, which quickly separated them from the Lakers midway through the opening period. However, South Bay made up plenty of ground to trail the Herd 37-30 at the end of one.
With the Lakers putting their feet to the fire, the Herd continued to go full steam ahead and find plenty of offensive success to exercise their control of the contest.
