The Wisconsin Herd ran into an absolute buzzsaw in the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario Friday night at Menominee Nation Arena as they came away with a 121-93 loss.
It looked as if we might have a track meet on our hands once play got underway as both the Clippers and Herd got off to solid starts. As the first quarter wore on, however, the Clippers outpaced the Herd, who suffered a lengthy scoring drought midway through the period, and held a 29-21 edge through one.
The Herd initially did their best to remedy that, but the Clippers’ advantage grew into double digits around seven-and-a-half minutes into the second quarter.
