On the second game of their back-to-back this weekend, the Wisconsin Herd just couldn’t match the offensive firepower of the Grand Rapids Drive as Wisconsin fell 118-107 Saturday night at Menominee Nation Arena.
The Drive set the tone for their night right away as they took full advantage of the Herd’s sluggish start offensively to open up the tilt. It looked as if things were quickly getting out of hand for the Herd as they trailed the Drive 33-17 after one.
Wisconsin continued searching for a spark to alleviate their sputtering offense in the opening minutes of the second quarter and stared at a 20-point hole at the 8:51 mark in the period, their biggest deficit of the night.
