Braving the elements to simply make it to the nation’s capital, the Wisconsin Herd powered though with a gutsy effort to come back and defeat the Capital City Go-Go 109-105 Saturday night at the Entertainment and Sports Arena.
It was the Herd who took the proverbial deer by the antlers to open up the contest as they quickly separated themselves from the Go-Go and held their biggest lead of the night (9) at the 7:24 mark of the period. Despite the Go-Go shaking off their sluggish start, the Herd held strong by holding a 33-26 lead through one.
