Coming off the road, the Wisconsin Herd’s return to Menominee Nation Arena Monday night was spoiled by the Grand Rapids Drive, who completely cruised to a 108-88 victory.
A problematic start set in for the Herd three minutes into the contest as a six-and-a-half minute scoring drought derailed the majority of their first quarter play and opened the door for Grand Rapids to take complete control. Despite a solid 10-6 run over the last three minutes of the period, the Herd stared at a 27-14 deficit through one.
Just as it looked like they had finally regrouped, the Herd’s offense got bogged down once again not long into the second quarter.
