The Wisconsin Herd’s attempt to even up their season series with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants fell short of the mark Tuesday night as they fell in a 105-100 defeat at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
Both teams set the tone of the night right away with their respective solid starts, which saw the lead seesaw back and forth between the two squads. In that context, it seemed fitting that the end of the first quarter was deadlocked at 27.
The game’s rhythm veered off its path as the start of the second quarter saw the Herd endure an extended scoring drought, leaving the door open for the Mad Ants to capitalize on the Herd’s lapses.
