The Wisconsin Herd certainly rang in their first game with some fireworks as they stormed back to defeat the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Monday night, winning 115-113.
Save for the opening minute of the game, the Herd were fighting an uphill battle from the get-go as the Vipers, specifically swingman Troy Williams, caught fire from beyond the arc in the game’s opening minutes. Eventually, the Herd peeled off a run of their own not long after Williams’ scoring outburst to stem the tide, and reach a more attainable deficit at the end of the first quarter.
