Since returning to the rotation with a typical minute load following a two-game absence due to back spasms, Gary Trent Jr. is shooting a sizzling .563/.595/1.000 on eight attempts per game. He’s been in double figures for six straight on the backs of 6.2 three-point attempts per game, good for 13 PPG over that stretch. Though he’s not starting, his 27.3 MPG is fifth on the team behind four members of the starting lineup (Brook Lopez, Giannis, Damian Lillard, and Taurean Prince) and four minutes more than Bobby Portis, the next guy.
The nominal starting two guard entering the season, his first eight games as a Buck underwhelmed, shooting under 50% from the floor in all but one.
