An up-and-down first week of EuroBasket action ended on a high for Giannis Antetokounmpo on Thursday.
Giannis scored 11 points (including 2/3 triples) and added a team-high 11 rebounds in 22 minutes as Greece held off a plucky Dutch team 68-65, sealing a perfect 5-0 record for Greece and along with it the top spot in Group C. They'll next face Belgium in the round of 16 at 7:30 am on Saturday (complete schedule and results here) -- buy some croissants and brew up a cappuccino for your EuroBreakfast, people!
Though he only took four shots overall and just one inside the arc (3/4 fg, 2/3 threes, 3/4 ft), this was in many ways Giannis' most involved game offensively as well (faint praise, but still).
