With the 58th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, the Indiana Pacers took Hugo Besson, who was quickly traded to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Besson played with the Bucks in Summer League, but rather than sticking around for the 2022-23 season, he was sent overseas. The guard spent the season playing for Metropolitans 92, where he shared the court alongside the consensus top pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Victor Wembanyama. It made sense for the Bucks to stash Besson overseas for a season, as it allowed him to develop his game and improve.
