Bucks employees visited Siefert Elementary School (1547 N. 14th St.) on Friday, May 13, for a special read-a-thon to celebrate a year-long collaboration of promoting literacy and healthy living. Nearly 20 front office employees, Bango and Bucks dancers joined local community officials to read to groups of K-5th grade students and help remind them of the importance of summer reading and staying active.
“The summer is a great time to relax, enjoy the weather and be active outdoors, but it is equally important that everyone- adults and kids - make time to read,” said Alicia Dupies, Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility for the Bucks.
